My wife and I have a 14-year-old mixed breed rescue dog, Samson (or Sam). We adopted him as a puppy and he has been an absolute prince of a dog. He has been a very happy, healthy dog for most of his life. However, age has really caught up to him. He has very bad arthritis in his front limbs which are quite painful. He has been on a cannabis product which did provide substantial relief for quite a while.

However, more recently he has also developed an issue in his rear spine which has caused him to suffer some degree of loss of function in his rear limbs. He is still able to walk, but sometimes he loses control of his limbs and goes down. Stairs are particularly problematic. Over the last year we have been treating him with physical therapy and acupuncture. For a while, he did receive significant benefit from this.

However, a few months ago, we and the rehab vet came to the difficult conclusion that these treatments were not providing substantial benefit. He had started pain medication earlier this year, and he is now on three oral pain medications. In addition, he is having periodic pain medication injections. It would be fair to state that his physical condition has caused him anxiety issues.

I have worked professionally with Kathleen for a number of years regarding medical-legal consulting matters and had come to greatly respect her work ethic and integrity. Initially I did not know that she provided Reiki treatment. I was very pleased to recently learn that she provided Reiki for animals. Earlier this year Kathleen started performing regular Reiki treatments for him. She has been treating him remotely three times a week. We believe that the treatments have been very beneficial to him. When the treatments start, continuing throughout, he is incredibly relaxed. We believe that the treatments have been of benefit to him, both emotionally and on the physical side. We intend to continue with his regular treatments and believe that they truly help Sam maintain the best quality of life possible. We believe that Kathleen has achieved a spiritual connection with Sam and that she has her fingers on the pulse of his problems. Remarkably, many of the impressions that she has had of Sam during the treatments relate to events/important things in his life that only we would know about and which we had not discussed previously with Kathleen.  We can wholeheartedly recommend Kathleen to those either specifically looking for Reiki treatments or to those who may be looking for an alternative modality to replace or supplement more traditional veterinarian services. ~ William K.McKinley, Esq.

Kathleen started treating my 11 year old Newfoundland, Penny, with on site and then remote Reiki for arthritis in her hips and pain in her neck.  After a few sessions Penny seemed more relaxed and mobile, exhibiting less stiffness in the mornings.  My trust in Kathleen’s work certainly helped my positive thoughts around Penny.  Penny lived till 12 years.

Acadia, my 7 year old Bernese Mountain dog, had emergency surgery for BLOAT.   Kathleen immediately started doing remote Reiki on him at the emergency hospital after surgery and daily since his arrival home.  His recovery and his behavior, after only 7 days, has been amazing. ~ Regina Helfer

This past summer I had both of my knees replaced. Kathleen had previously provided Reiki on our Newfoundland Penny which we had remarkable results with.  I asked Kathleen if she would provide me with Reiki just prior to and after each of my surgeries.  To me the results were amazing to say the least.
